Saratoga Springs Bespoke Kitchen

Victorian Kitchen Renovation | Saratoga Springs, NY

A Light‑Filled Heart for a Historic Home

When the owners of an 1896 Saratoga Springs Victorian set out to transform their cramped, outdated kitchen, they wanted a space that was bright, open, and tailored to their lifestyle — while honoring the home’s historic character. The redesign removed a supporting wall, replacing it with an 800‑pound beam concealed within custom millwork and a coffered ceiling, creating an airy, seamless flow. A massive quartzite and walnut island became the heart of the room, complemented by hand‑crafted cabinetry, premium appliances, and custom storage solutions. Thoughtful lighting choices, including Italian and Foscarini pendant fixtures, add sparkle and contemporary elegance to the timeless backdrop.

To maximize functionality, a custom banquette was built to perfectly fit the bay‑window nook, paired with a Saarinen table for casual dining. Every inch of cabinetry was designed for purpose, concealing specialized drawers, a pantry, and integrated appliances. A new mudroom addition provides organized storage for coats, shoes, and everyday essentials, keeping the kitchen clutter‑free. The result is a bespoke kitchen that blends refined craftsmanship with modern convenience — a welcoming, light‑filled space where history and contemporary living meet in perfect harmony.
