Reclaiming the Past, Redefining Home
Once an 1880s English threshing barn, this remarkable structure was carefully dismantled, relocated, and reborn as a warm, inviting residence in Saratoga Springs, NY. The original timber frame, metal roofing, siding, and wide-plank flooring were salvaged and beautifully integrated into the new design, ensuring the spirit of the past lives on in every detail.
Designed by Balzer & Tuck Architecture and built by Teakwood Builders, the residence marries historic craftsmanship with modern performance. Open interiors showcase exposed timbers and reclaimed finishes, while advanced insulation and construction methods deliver 21st-century comfort. It’s a home as enduring as its history, perfectly suited for contemporary life.
