Legend of the Lake
When a New Jersey-based family wanted to transform their sprawling, time-worn, early 1900s lakefront camp into a sumptuous Adirondack retreat and “home away from home”, they called on Teakwood Builders. Teakwood worked closely with the homeowner and architect to create a custom space featuring rustic regional elements and touches of Old World elegance alongside modern luxury amenities in a more open floor plan, with new outdoor spaces to enjoy the expansive Lake George views. The interior was entirely gutted and reconfigured to allow for a grand entry with a sweeping stair, an airy gourmet kitchen with built-in banquette seating, ample second-story guest quarters with private walk-out porches, and a plush master suite. Natural woods, locally sourced stone, reclaimed timbers, and vintage tile were used throughout.
