The goal of this project in Saratoga Springs was to create new, yet historically accurate outdoor living spaces for the owners of an 1873 residence that was showing some wear. The transition from the back of the home to the newly built carriage house-styled detached garage needed to be aesthetically appealing. Due to history of the home and surrounding neighborhood, particular attention was given to constructing new forms that would enhance and blend with the existing structure, harmonizing the old and new.
