After a devastating fire destroyed their beloved farmhouse, a Saratoga family entrusted Teakwood Builders to rebuild their home from the soot-stained foundation up. Beginning with the restoration of salvaged historic light fixtures, Teakwood partnered with the original architect to faithfully recreate the home’s familiar floor plan while thoughtfully enhancing key spaces. A compact breakfast nook transformed into a bright dining and sitting area with a fireplace that opens to an expansive outdoor entertainment space featuring a built-in grill. The kitchen was reimagined with an inviting eat-at island, and a discreet elevator was added to support aging-in-place living.
The great room once again shines with rich cherry millwork, custom built-ins, and the restored heirloom fixtures that inspired the project. Playful, light-filled interiors reflect the family’s optimism and creativity, turning loss into renewal. After nearly two years of dedicated craftsmanship, this phoenix has risen—a stunning blend of beauty, function, and enduring spirit.
