Basement Remodel Another CRBRA Win for Teakwood
At its annual recognition event held in November, the Capital Region Builders & Remodelers Association honored our “Luxury Made Below Grade” project with its Best Basement Remodel award. Our team took on a variety of challenges to transform this space into an awe-inspiring area for entertaining, recreating, and relaxing. The expansive basement of this Saratoga Springs retreat – a feat of engineering, from the modernized foundations supporting two newly joined antique structures, a 1790s home and an 1800s repurposed barn addition – was created in partnership with Balzer + Tuck Architecture, Nelson Reeds Lighting Design, Towne TV A/V, and a host of other valued trade partners and specialists. Teakwood turned a basic basement into an amenity-rich area reminiscent of a luxury resort.
In-Home Luxury Bar
Descend the stylish switchback stairway and discover a modern speakeasy. This sophisticated New Orleans-themed bar features a sleek pewter-topped bar, cabinetry with integrated lighting to feature stemware and spirits, and a cozy banquette built-in. Surrounded by an intriguing mix of textures and materials, a cocktail here is a luxury experience befitting the swankiest of jazz bars!
Entertainment For Everyone
Outside the bar, a multi-faceted recreation room awaits. Here, the homeowners and their guests enjoy a state-of-the-art home theater, billiards parlor, and full-size golf simulator. Fun for all ages and interests!
