In May 2007, Teakwood Builders, Inc was awarded the Regional Chrysalis Award in the Whole House Remodel $200,000-$500,000 category. Read the full article here.

The Chrysalis Awards program, which began in 1994, recognizes the nation’s best work in 17 categories of residential remodeling. Judged by editors and writers of Better Homes & Gardens, Woman’s Day, Southern Living, and The American Institute of Building Design, 626 project entries were judged on overall design, creative use of space and materials, and degree to which the project enhanced the original structure.

The scope of Teakwood’s submission to the Whole House Remodel award was to renovate the entire home due to extensive water damage. However, it’s the details that made this already impressive house incredibly distinctive.  From coffer beams and beadboard ceiling applications to the combination of nostalgic white cabinets, wainscot wall panels, and custom built-ins, it was all about delivering a polished and sleek look that dominates throughout the entire house while maintaining a sense of warmth and classic comfort.
