As part of its Concierge Services lineup, Teakwood offers a fully custom property-checking Home Care Service for when you are away from the Capital Region. Whether a vacation or seasonal property, or a local home unoccupied for an extended period, trust in us to oversee and care for it.
This service is unique to your and your home’s needs. A sample list of routine items:
Indoor check
- Inspect entire residence, including outbuildings
- Check under sinks for leaks
- Set thermostats to your specifications
- Flush toilets and run water in each sink and shower
- Confirm that fridge, freezer, appliances, and HVAC working properly
- Check electrical panel for tripped breakers
- Retrieve mail and receive packages/deliveries
- Water plants
Outdoor check
- Examine exterior of residence, including outbuildings
- Ensure all doors and windows are locked
- Inspect and start vehicles
- Confirm completion of snow removal
Additional services
- Rake roofs
- Respond on-call (as your representative) if security alarms are activated
- Shop for groceries prior to your arrival
- Adjust indoor climate control as needed
- Open or winterize seasonal areas/amenities
