What is Teakwood Concierge?

When we started Concierge Services years ago, we hoped to fill an unmet need: to assist former and current Teakwood clients with occasional handyman repairs and ongoing home maintenance, providing the same high-quality work and attentive professionals they came to expect from Teakwood as their trusted builder/remodeler. Over time, Concierge has evolved to serve a variety of needs for a diverse array of property owners throughout the Capital Region.

What types of work does Concierge perform?

The menu of Concierge-suited projects continues to grow! This list provides just a few examples. While virtually no home repair job or project is too small, some might be too large or complex for Concierge consideration. Concierge projects tend to be ones that take from a few hours to up to two weeks to complete. More involved projects that require architectural design drawings, building permits, or moving mechanicals like plumbing or HVAC are better suited to Teakwood’s full-service building/remodeling business.

What are the benefits of Teakwood Concierge?

The main benefit is that you can rely on us as a trusted partner for all your home repairs and maintenance tasks. Our Teakwood carpenters will perform the work themselves, or will coordinate and oversee work done by our expert trade professionals. You don’t need to worry about whom to call and if they will be reliable and do quality work.

Do you provide estimates?

To make best use of staff time and keep our costs competitive, we do not provide estimates. When you share details about your project using our online form, it may be possible for us to give you a sense of a reliable investment range, based on the expected time and materials needed to complete the work. Please understand that this is not a written quote nor guarantee of the project cost.

Is it more expensive to use Teakwood Concierge?

When comparing our rates to the cost of time spent searching for service providers and getting supplies—combined with the stress of a mounting to-do list!—you will likely find Teakwood Concierge to be surprisingly affordable, efficient, and competitive with other service providers. (And as most of our satisfied clients will attest, peace of mind is priceless!)

How much do you charge?

We believe in rate transparency. Our visits for home maintenance and repair jobs require a minimum of two work hours. We can take care of more than one chore in a single visit. Please see our online Concierge Services Request form for updated rates and terms. You can expect to be invoiced upon completion of the work, or biweekly for projects that take a little longer. Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date. We accept payment by check and electronic funds transfer (EFT).

Who will work on my project?

Teakwood employs a team of full-time, experienced construction and contracting professionals. We involve subcontractors—who work under the supervision of the Teakwood Concierge project manager—only when necessary to complete a job and with the homeowner’s full knowledge prior to the initiation of any work. Trust and talent are very important factors in repair services, and we are committed to ensuring that all of our projects are completed to the highest standards.

How do I schedule your services?

We request that you complete our simple online form with details about your project. Once we receive this, we will contact you to review and discuss your project in greater detail. If you cannot complete the online form, please feel free to give us a call: 518-587-2880.

Is the online form a contract? Does submitting the online form commit me to having the work done by Concierge Services?

Our online form is how we communicate our Concierge terms, conditions, and rates. Should you wish to move forward with us, yes, it will serve as a contract. But if you opt not to proceed after speaking with our Concierge Services Coordinator about your project and our availability, that’s fine. There’s no obligation.

When is Concierge work performed?

Depending on your project, work usually takes place Monday through Friday, starting as early as 7a and often wrapping up by 3:30 or 4p. Our Concierge Services Coordinator will work to accommodate your scheduling preferences.
